We had an afternoon out at Howick Hall in Northumberland, ancestral home of Earl Grey (of tea fame) and still inhabited by his descendants, here are a few pics from this afternoon.

BTW, do I feel a slight blueish-purplish hue/tint in the second shot, or is it my LCD?

I second, I really like the church with the tomb stones in front, there is quiet and peace on this scene.

Some shots that are not making us feel the chill that was so inherent in the past season's shots from you. Spring is on in your land.

I enjoyed the criss-crossing of the shadows cast on the aisle of the church by the seats; that's a nice warm daylight that makes the interior a welcoming host to the visitor. Good warm colours too.
The churchyard with the headstones of the graves indeed makes for a good entrance to the church scene while the snowdrops chronicle the take-off for a good spring. : )

Thanks for the comments, yes Doc I think there is a bit of a tint in the house picture will have to correct it.

You spotted what I did Yildiz with the light patterns on the carpet caused by the sidelighting and the pew shadows. Here are a couple more from Sunday

Hi Paul - like the trees in the sky shot - might as well be comfortable while taking pictures .

Nicely continued with a set that takes us to the heart of the nature and literally too.


Thanks for sharing but just don't lie there too long. Must be still rather cold and wet on the ground against your back and catching pneumonia is not a good option for photographers with talent... : )

At some point when living together you just can't hide your true self any longer. It always comes out.
