Well, I decided the world needed to see a picture of me, so here it is -- but me being me, don't expect it to be completely straightforward...



100/2.8 macro, 1/30th, f/2.8. Obviously enough, hand held in natural light. Don't you dare call that distortion "fisheye".

Indeed, the 'fisheye' distortion and the shape are all intact. : )

My sincere appoligies, Jcoffin, if I've hurt your feelings in any way. I did read the that last line but I might have missed your exact point; I'm not much of a person that 'mocks' and that might be why I did not see the deliberate emphasis on the word.

I looked at your reflection centered on your son's pupil and saw that there was a spherical distortion that also bent the furniture partially and likened it to the effect the new 'fish' and 'wide angle' adaptors that David Kilpatrick reviewed the other day.

Oh, goodness no. I was purely kidding around (in both cases). After years of posting on Usenet (e.g., comp.lang.c++) if I have a problem, it's that I'm so thick-skinned that even when somebody's really trying to insult me, I hardly realize it!

Oh, but it's my picture, so I can call it anything I want. On the other hand, since I don't have any Sony lenses (yet!), I probably couldn't call it "Sony-eye" in any case.
