Every now and then someting happens at the waterside that relieves the monotony of working in London.

Hi Caporip,

I especailly liked the monochrone shot of the deck. The isolated deck in black&white gives the shot a timeless, spaceless feel.
I also like the 1st and the 2nd shots, the second favored a little more for the inclusion of architectural aspects as the background.

Nice images. Like Aster, I am particularly fond of the black & white image of the deck of the Eagle.

Unrelated to photography - if anyone likes science fiction, the Eagle is a significant part of the story in a time-travel novel called "Island in the Sea of Time"

FWIW, there is more info about that book at:

I really, really like the middle photo in this second batch of images.

The design of the post in the foreground makes the picture for me, when added to the rest of the image. For me, this is a case where the whole is much greater than the sum of the parts.

Thanks guys

Apparently in time for the Olympics we are going to have an 11 storey german cruise ship berthed outside as a floating hotel. Somehow I dont think it will be as photogenic as the one above!

Cool! Nice photos! I didn't know that the USCG had a ship like that.
