After the creativity bug took a huge slump I decided to get reading online and find something that really made my brain get into gear, plus something that would increase my lack of photoshop skills.

After looking around and finding alot of interesting articles I hit upon this idea and one that really made me impressed. It has the juices flowing and hope to achieve more of these kind of shots. This was taken at my workplace, in our server and comms room.

Must have been the raw power of all of those servers that gave you the special powers. Isn't it always the way?

Wonderful effect--very convincing. It looks like it hurt when you landed!

Statics?

I look forward to attempting the same shot with the Metz AF 48 when I eventually bring it to work this Friday.... brain in overload now hahahaha.

Pako, Statics are this... first take a shot with you not in the image, so in theory a room with nothing in it. Then take a 2nd shot with you in the frame. The way I did it was this.

1. Take shot of empty server room, focusing on the middle of the shot.
2. Place small stool under light in middle of server room.
3. I then focused on the top of the small stool.
4. Placed the camera on a 10 second timer and then quickly got on the stool in the attempted lotus position.
5. I then added both images into PS, via File - Stack Load.
6. I then used a brush (black) and from the 2nd image of me on the stool, I brushed out the stool, leaving just me floating.

All in all a very easy shot to create.
