An alternative Gallery

We are testing a new Gallery function for Subscribers to the website. It should be possible to upload with the photographer's name and any necessary caption, to add the picture to a Photoclubalpha gallery (one single gallery, intended for a maximum of one image per day from any subscriber).



This is an image embedded from testing the gallery. It may not be the best gallery solution, I do not want to use a Flickr group and suggestions are welcome - perhaps a Picasa group may be a better option.

This is a work in progress, it's only cost £15 to set it up for the year. It is very difficult to find the right gallery or picture hosting group which can have restricted access (approved members, or subscribers only) and the dangers with an open system are well enough known. Indeed, the first year with Coppermine was mainly spent deleting porn and banning users.
