Beamish Museum had a photography evening last night, with a number of trams and characters in period costumes around the village in the early evening until dark.

Amazingly the rain stopped for a few hours and it was a very enjoyable event, here are a few pictures. (All A700 + various lenses)

Looks a fantastic place for photographs Paul. The restorations look amazing - the trams and truck look like new . I especially like the pano shot .

great series. I had not heard of this place before but, as Birma says, looks a superb photo opportunity.

I'm impressed with how everything is preserved so nothing in the scene looks out of time or place.
The third in the set somewhat reminds me of scenes from the Harry Potter series. Some magical light in the sky and inside the buses and trams that make them appear as magic lanterns.
