I actually have two of these classic Sigma AF 100-300mm F4 EX DG (IF) APO lenses (one is on sale), but first time one was used in anger at Liverpool 'John Lennon' Airport. Not overly interesting subject aircraft (easyJet Airbus 319-111), but more of a trial as a combination of lens and body. The Sigma is a superb optic and why production has ceased is beyond me. Anyway, some samples taken in RAW, converted to JPG in CS5 and re-sized for posting. These two are currently pending screening on both Airplane-Pictures and JetPhotos websites.
Maybe both will be rejected for being backlit, but by heavens this is one superb lens.
