old mill at Battlesbridge , essex, england, taken with a700 was goin to delete but decided i liked it after all.

Hi Mike - interesting looking place. What sort of Mill was it?

i am sorry to say not sure and it is only stones throw from where i live, it is near a antique centre and the mill has several floors of furniture and brick a brack. there is a caf on the top and you will need a cup of tea when you get up thee as there is no lift. about all i can say really you could try google if i go down there ill find out more.

Hi Mike,

I like your subject very much. The colours are warm and there's a strong nostalgic appeal. I think the scene deserves to go for a panoramic take to the left of the mill structure since it looks a little cut off from the overall spectacularity of the landscape and I think it would benefit from a little 'relevance' to the whole photo-story.

tanks for comments from every body can any one tell me if the photo looks over sharpend as i have just loaded it on my sony hd tv and it looks well over sharp, let me in a dither!

would like advice i have had some shots on club projecter and the projecter comes slightly soft.

Hi Mike,

I don't see an oversharpening in any of your photos that you uploaded to the forum threads lately. Both the portrait and the mill appear fine in this size on my laptop screen. Maybe its the hugeness of your TV screen that is delivering more details than can our laptop screens?

hope so never had this in the days of slides, i do think the digital projecter at my photo club is a bit softer so i will waite and see.
thank you all for help and advice, i might not comment on all the other chaps work but it is all really good stuff on this websight. i wonder if canon and nikon have the same?
