I posted this on flickr but thought it may be an interesting (or not) thread on here. Yesterday I took another shot of an old barn i often see on my journeys:-

I wondered whether any of you have places/buildings you taken different shots of over the years and that continue to say "take a shot"?

I noticed yesterday that autumn foliage and fallen leaves on the same day through years is becoming less and less. That is, in 2008 fallen leaves on my lawn were much more than this year, yellowing leaves on the trees were much more previously at this time than this year... local/global warming??

I like the series caporip, it's a great idea, I'd probably have some somewhere but they would take some finding and maybe scanning....aaaarrgh.

A neat title for a good thread that can thrive in time.

I certainly enjoyed periodical sequence of images that show the impact on the climate...or maybe other bad dinfluences too.

Hi Caporip - I definitely agree about some places that just call to be photographed - and they always seem to have something more to say / give. I especially like the #2 in your barn series - a strange quality to the picture which adds to it.

My reoccuring spot is a view, and from a spot where I would rather take pictures than anywhere else. Sadly it is a 12 hour drive, followed by a 3 hour ferry ride, followed by another 30 minute drive away from my home. I've posted pictures of it here before, so please excuse the repetition.

Birma the Hebrides that you like so much looks not only photogenic certainly but a place that’s good for the soul as well, there’s a couple I like there very much, the cloud reflection one and also the last two especially, oh and the first three also because of the solitude and tranquillity aspect.

I loved these shots when I first saw them but I especially like the one that you included the special white horses and the protruding land piece with the rather dramatic lighting and sky.

Love the mirror-like wet beaches of this island....What a sweep of shallow waves cascading sweetly all throughout.

I couldn't tell the change between the years when I look at the photos but that's because you never took shots from the exact same spot year after year. So I am a little confused as to which angle superposes the other....but that's OK. : )

Thank you Greg and Yildiz I'm glad that my feelings for the place come across, even if just a little bit, in the photographs.

I hope we'll see some more "reoccuring places".

Both with the same lens, Tamon 17-50/2.8. First with the A700, second with the Nex 5.

The 4 seasons . After 6 years leaving at the same place, this thread force me to search in all the picture if there were a chance that I can take the same angle of view in all the 4 different season.

That's a great set Frank . The four seasons are shown perfectly, and it almost looks like you didn't move the camera between shots!
