Saturday afternoon saw further beautiful weather here in Worcestershire and a break in the weekend schedule got me out to the woods in the late afternoon; a time of day that I have rarely used in the local woods here. It was nice to see some spots that I had been disappointed with in dawn light transformed at the other end of the day. The light continued to be kind even after the sun had set and I was glad that I didn't set off for home as soon as the last direct rays had departed. Must remember a torch next time to get out of the wood in the dark .

Inspired by some of the pictures in the Autumn challenge thread. Nex 5 with Tamron 11-18.
Wow Birma that looks like a big days outing, lovely work. I like the Teasels shot especially and the slope of the land in the wood/meadow shot also, and the sunset one with the stark trees and the interesting clouds is an attractive composure.

Doc, for tripod work I really like the Nex's MF Assist, peaking, live view, and tilting LCD. At the moment I don't feel I want to go back to the A700's OVF. I should give the A700 another try out, but I'm starting to think about trading it in with the Nex 5 for a Nex 7.
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.

I understand what you feel. I join you in praising the MF assist, focus peaking. Old lenses are reviving with the a77.
