Behind the Centre Pompidou, shot with my trusty A900 and 24/2Z:

However, got a new toy recently, with a DP2x replacing it more and more for street photography, and I like it very much, hope nobody will object:

Nice shots Jasper - looks like you had some nice sunshine while you were there. (My understanding is that non-alpha pictures are fine as long as you say what the camera is that you used.) Interesting to see shots from the DP2x as well.

Hmm, so that's waht the Parisiennes were up to at Christmas.. : )

Nice and dry daylight to light up Centre Pompidou and the pavements...

Thanks for sharing,

That Centre Pompidou place looks pretty industrial, I wonder what's with all the plumbing and scaffolding. The DP2x (?) doesn’t take a bad pic either, good street scenes.

Thank you all for the nice comments. :D

Greg, the French call that place ´Art´... or hate it. I cannot post another picture here, but you will find plenty of it on the net. It´s basically a huge (microfilm) library (not as big as the national ´Mitterrand´ one) and also serves as a place for interesting exhibitions. I went there to see an impressive Edvard Munch paintings collection; very unexpected for me, it´s not all looking like ´The Scream´.

Sigma DP2x is the little fixed 41mm eq. lens downscaled thingy - 4.7 Mpix, ´x3´ as they say - I really wanted to try out the Foveon look once and took advantage of the one day when the Swiss Frank plunged down to 1 : 1 against the Euro (has been as high as 1.70!), so basically got it at 50% off swiss price... I do not regret it since to be honest.
