Much better than any of my feeble attempts.

Very nice Dennis

Welcome to the Forum, Dennis. : )
That's a very impressive shot of the Moon. I love the well-defined details of the craters as well.
Thanks for sharing,

Welcome Dennis! Those moon shots are very nice indeed. I'd say they are at least as sharp as my best efforts with my Minolta 100-300 APO. John

Thanks for al the nice input, it was a bit tricky to get some sharps pics with my 70-300 but it worked

Nice job! I prefer the second a bit. I don't really care either way about the difference in color balance, but I find the craters close to the terminator in the second a bit more interesting. Both came out very nicely though.

Today's attempt to capture the moon and the picture below is Jupiter with 4 moons
( jupiter dont get any better than that with my cheap 70-300 )

The side-lighting and well-chosen exposure time of the half-moon nicely shows the craters, and the steady camera work kept the image crisp. Nice images, Dennis.

Nice! I took a few 3 days ago and another last night. After only 2 days you could see so much more! Probably another 1/7th.....

Very nice Dennis - I especially like the last shot of the full moon.
