Brought in (originally from wild herds in Poland) to graze on this important marshland reserve to stop plant encroachement. They are lovely friendly animals.

Beautiful one of wild horses , Caporip.

You've captured a very graceful scene; composition-wise and by using the main focus area as a lead to deepen the photo. The eyes gradually move from right to left as I observe the photo frame.

Black horse with a shiny mane and nape in an overall monochrone frame works wonderfully. You have a good eye for observing horses in singular or plural form as they behave in their natural setting as a herd.

Nice horse portraits caporip, they must get handled a lot or see lots of people to be so tranquil.

The reserve is a popular spot for walkers (and photographers!) and these ponies have been used on this reserve (and some other Kent reserves) for a while now. They are supposed to have a good temperament and dont seem to get fazed at all not even, as I saw while i was there, with excitable dogs. A couple of them were very interested in my 70-400 not sure what they thought it was!

Very nice pictures Caporip. The snow as a background works well, especially in the B&W shot.

Great to see this ancient breed being reintroduced to support the conservation of habitat. (Thanks for the link Doc.) I can imagine the ancestors of these chaps pulling the Ancient Britons around in their chariots .
