As mentioned in Bossel's topic about his trip to London my family and I went to London for a few days last week. As a good tourist I lugged my camera with me (duh!) and took these shots. I tried to avoid the normal tourist shots of all the sights. Couldn't escape them with all the images, but some deviate from the standard snapshots (I hope ).

All images shot with my a580+VG and CZ 16-80.

That lady's my dear, loving mother who doesn't like to be subject of my photographic endeavors. She had some bad luck in this one and you can tell by her expression Sorry mom!

Excellent shots, including the tourist versions.

I really like them all because no one that lives there ever seem to post any shots like those, and they are interesting to me because I've never been to London, amazing architecture.

ps I had to look at the bridge section photos for a good while studying the riveting, there sure was a lot of work involved in that structure.

I like the detail shots especially Mark. Nice shot inside the bar .

Thanks guys. Looking at the Two in One image, it looks like the orientation is way off. I rotated the shot somewhat to the left, but now that I look closely to the building at the left, I see it's about to collapse due to the angle it has (or my rotation is off ). I'll fix it later today.

Neat photos of London's iconic attractions. Your mom looks like she's feeling the cold but I like the genuine look of the whole frame. : ) Thanks for sharing her.

And London's starlings must be overjoyed to be photographed by a true bird lover and consider themselves fortunate. It's not everyday that this can happen.

Good shots from the CZ 16-80mm. Nice closeups.
