I bought my first digital camera in February 2000: an Olympus D-340R with 1.3mp and a 36mm fov lens. My wife used it mostly and I just played around with it. I was still using my film SLRs though. The next year in 2001 we went to Europe with our backpacks for 4 months and only carried film cameras. While there I often wished I had a digital SLR though or some sort of flexible, capable digital camera. That was the last time I shot much film and I haven't shot any since 2002. In August 2001 I bought an Olympus D-510Z (2.1mp and 35-105mm fov lens) and started using that a lot. Later I bought a Minolta Maxxum 7 in January 2002, but then in May 2002 bought a Minolta D7i and haven't looked back. My Maxxum 7 has had only 2-3 rolls of film through it and has not been used since.mikehawthorne wrote:i never thought i would ever use adigital camera back then.
