Evan is now 2 years old. (And Estella 2 months tomorrow). I will wake up some day and they will have 16 and probably Sony will make Electric car with electronic view finder instead of the standard windshield :-).

Happy Birthday, Evan. : )

Feeling the old age alrady, Frank? There's still sometime for that and I'm sure your little sweet girl will always make you feel like her personal super young knightof all times soon,... as soon as she's about like Evan, I guess.

A tiny note: Evan is growing into some exceptional looks already. A handsome little person indeed. :D
A tiny second note: The hat is as cute as the funny drawings you used to make for Evan each passing month.

Congratulations,

Yildiz

HB Evan. No matter what, don't ask a camera or a lens from your pa as a birthday present... it will end up in his backpack...

Looks like he is upset that his papa has not returned that 400/4.5 yet.
Happy Birthday Evan and wishing you many happy returns of the day.

Happy birthday to the next generation!
Love that picture with the kid lugging the 400mm... Did your heart miss a beat there for fear of he dropping it?

Fear stop you to advance :) ... but sometime yes I'm a little bit worry, but my father did almost the same thing for me when I was young letting me played with very expensive equipment but (like I'm doing today) telling to take care and be careful. This limit you to when you have the head turn that your kid try to touch it without your agreement. I found that once Evan play a lot with the A900 and the NEX camera with me, I can let them leave on the coach or on a table and he is not temp to play with them alone.

Regards,

Frank

Reminds me of my father giving me my first ´driving lesson´ when I was 12. On meadow ground, better said polder ground as that was in Holland. After the first hurdles of getting the gear engaged and the car (a Renault Dauphine!) running smooth but faster than I expected, my father yelled ´turn left NOW!´ and I did as commanded, just as I was used to with... my bicycle. Never expected the car to end in a ditch, fortunately not too much water. Next thing happening was my father getting help from a nearby farm and coming back with a tractor.
He let me drive again alright, but not that same day, and I remember my mother quite yelling that day! At both of us... :(
