Competition Winner

I'm on a roll this month... I joined a local photo club in Kent (UK) - Medway DSLR Club in Gillingham last year. Its a new club so not so serious and more friendly to newcomers than some of the more established, competition orientated clubs. Last night was the end of the year's league comp.. and I came joint first overall
. Here are the pics from last night that helped bump my score up (the reculver sunset pic also won first place last night).

Private Investigations - 1940s Noir

Breaking through the clouds

Reculver Sunset

plus a quick shot of the 'Walnut Tree Trophy' thats currently sitting on my desk (I have to pass it on to the other winner in 6 months who, to be fair, had some very nice wildlife and flower shots throughout the year).
My complete gallery of 9 photos can be seen here - note that I got a bit more tactical as the year went on and got much better at guessing what the Judge marked up or down

I also dedicated the award to Sony as Its been a running joke all year with the chairman that as the clubs only Sony user, when am i going to upgrade to a proper camera? - I tend just sit at the back with the Pentax and Olympus guys and heckle - now I'll just wave the trophy at him
