I was going through my flickr and found these flowers taken with A100 and good old Vivitar 90 f2.5 and some old Minolta flash.
A100 was my first ever true (D)SLR and feel very sentimental about it. These are straight from the camera with no PP involved.

Nice memories!! My first DSLR was my KM 7D. My first macro lens for that was a Sigma 70mm.

This taken at 1:5



And this -same bloom - at 1:1



And in my SLR days, this taken with my Minolta XM with Minolta 50mm macro lens



I also use the Minolta lens on any DSLR that I have available but I won't boor you with those.

You're not supposed to take photos that good with those old cameras.

All the photos posted from your first SLR are cool. I know what you mean about nostalgia for your first SLR. I also have fond memories of mine. It was a Mamiya-Sekor 1000 DTL. Here is a photo from 1974 when I was in high school. I was using the Mamiya-Sekor 55mm f1.8 lens with an extension tube to take a photo of my old, comfortable shoe that I was wearing while sitting on the ground:

Bakubo, nice old camera and well used my you! Were the shoes comfortable? The girls and their mother probably have no memories of that shot. And what can we say about self portraits?

Yeah, those shoes were comfortable. I was still wearing them for quite awhile even after they were pretty much worn out. I have a vague memory of going to the drugstore in 1975 to pick up a prescription for my grandmother. I was sitting there with my SLR (I often carried it around) and the mother and two children were standing in front of me. While I was focusing the little girl turned around to look at me and I snapped the photo. I don't know the people in the photo so I don't know where they are now and I am sure they don't remember this little slice of time.

Yes, indeed. Those flowers in bloom in November and the sprinklers in the park just turned off. IN those days, A100 being my first SLR, like American
Express advertisement; never leave home without it.

My first camera was an Agfa Isolette. My first Minolta was an SRT101. Sorry, I am too lazy to find some pics and scan them in, but I expect that you will be relieved to hear that. These are all great shots.

Another one. This is a 3 image composite that I put together on recently downloaded Registax. That SW
has improved quite a bit in the last few years in terms of ease of use. The three images were taken with A100
and Tamron 200-500 and stacked in Registax.
