I like the introduction of the photographer in the second one! I have a thing about reflected images introducing another dimension to photography/art.
There's a very old famous painting by Jan van Eyck of (Marriage of Arnolfini etc) and the artist painted himself in the mirror! This painting is interesting, from a photographic view, as the modern day artist David Hockney uses it as part proof that the old masters used a 'Camera Obscura' to aid painting. Similar to how some artists use photographs to help their art.

I could not avoid being reflected but I did try to place myself accordingly. The door, window, and skylight did introduce a distance that was appealing to me.
