One of the first shots with 24-70. My daughter knew that I was like kid in candy store and
rather reluctantly or more like indulgently posed for the shot. I guess I was interrupting her chat on the laptop.

This is a crop. I had my iso on auto with 200-1600 range, and did not realize this is a iso1000 image. You can see some
noise on her neck with light reflected from her laptop (bluish light).

Pretty good for ISO 1000! And she doesn't look too disgruntled to be photographed - she has a lovely smile

Is the image under exposed Doc? Since the camera was on P mode,
I am curious to know if it is underexposed and if so, is it because of the lens.

I have noticed that Sony cameras need a bit of overexposure. Anyway try to bracket your shots for a while to see the performance of your camera and pick the right choice.

Aah!!! thank you. I usually do manual and what I get is I attribute to my error in judgment.
With these lenses, I have been doing more P mode shooting to get a feel for them. I will
keep that in mind when in P/A/S mode.
