A side road off the road between Hebden Bridge and Howarth. This is the area in Yorkshire that 'Heathcliffe and Cathy' from 'Wuthering heights' would have run around in shouting each other's names Howarth is where the Bronte sisters lived with their Parson father.

Usual adjustments plus some dodging and burning. Slight crop off left side.



From the tops- straight shot with slight adjustments in RAW and PS and some dodging and burning. The reservoire and many of the far houses wouldn't have been there in the Bronte's time.



Some local residents. I like taking agricultural images. Cropped slightly and converging parallels adjusted.

That looks good! I want to visit England again someday. We were there for 2-3 weeks in 2001 and traveled around a bit, but since it was the end of 4 months of backpacking through Europe we were a bit tired and didn't move around and see nearly as much as I wish we had. Spent too much time in London. My last name is Richardson and that is a rather English name, I think, so I suppose my roots go back there.

Will do Birma! My OH is really enjoying agricultural shots with the A77 so I'll pass on the link to him, too.His are mostly for stock but you can just tell when someone is 'into' a certain genre. It shines through.

Richardson is very English. There are plenty around here in the North West- including a quite well known comedian.
I lived in London for a while as a teenager and I wouldn't like to go back there. I'm a country 'girl' at heart.
Backpacking, however, sounds wonderful - something I wished I'd done when I were younger. I think you'll probably get more of a flavour of the country you're in that way.
I always remember when I went to Paris sitting on the steps of the Sacre Coer and a local man, originally from Vietnam, telling me how it really was. I wasn't surprised - I was old enough to realise how tourism works!
