Nice lake hotel shot ravinderrainger.

Your really spoiling us with these great countryside shots Birma.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Bluebell Wood video on flickr. Great visual
and audio sounds of birds. Going to enjoy again & again. ;^)

Thanks for sharing

I like that last one Birma, very atmospheric, being out and about that early and surveying distant horizons brings back memories of a different pursuit, finding and shooting wild porkers with a .270 rather than shooting scenes with a camera, and missed recording many misty mornings as a result, mores the pity.
But there was never any wonderful variety of wild flowers like there is in that scene, that I can remember anyway.

Thanks DA. This video lark is tricky stuff - I think that Bluebell one was just biggers luck :)

Thanks Greg. "Shooting wild porkers" out in the bush at dawn sounds like something the hero would be doing at the start of a Wilbur Smith novel. I would take a day off from the flowers to try it at least once :) .

Birma I think the last one is one of the best dawn meadow shots yet for showing the wild flowers.

Thank you Sury, Doc and Greg, I really appreciate your kind comments :) . It was a special morning which once again showed that Landscape photography is not relaxing; the sun comes up very quickly and before you know it, it will pop out from behind the handy tree that had been shading the scene :D .

Very pretty Birma, I think I’ve figured out why we don’t have such scenes locally (although the desert wildflowers are amazing, I must see that myself one day), everything would get munched by a multitude of ruminants, that's what would happen to it.

Thanks Greg :) Fields like this were typically used to grow hay for the winter so they would keep the farm animals out of these fields at this time of the year. That leads to the lovely long grass and multitude of flowers. The local wild deer visit this field but they don't seem interested in most of the flowers. I've seen orchids in particular in fields with sheep who have eaten the grass around them, but left the orchids. Artificial chemicals have destroyed most of our real wild flower meadows. This particular meadow is an oasis amidst the mono culture green around it - almost impossible to recreate.

Here is a different meadow, at a different time of day; evening. It is not quite as spectacular as Eades Meadow (see above), but provided some new opportunities.

When you stop and look (requires reading glasses) there are lots of sunlit Buttercups in that last Birma, nice, and that is a mysterious looking wood behind the gate, there’s gotta be a deer or two in there. :D
