Inspired by Doc's old film prints and Almazar's revisit I thought why not we have a thread where you can post anything that is not from
the current year and that does not follow a particular theme. I invite you all to join the fun ride into past.

I was looking at some of my A100 photos (seems like so distant past) and it was my very first (Digital) SLR.
The first one I liked for the 3D like effect where the flower is separated from the background. The other two are with
Hanimex 135f2.8 M42 lens and extension tubes. None of them are PP'ed.



It was results like the below that "prevented" me from getting those CZ gems.

Good images are timeless. The second and third ones are very nice, especially for none PP'd work. Thanks for sharing.

OK, you asked for it Sury.
This is a shot from end 1969 (New Year's eve), and that's my cousin performing an Arabian belly dance.
Do not criticize the colors, please, this is all I could do when scanning the old negative. (Not talking about removal of all dusts, scratches and partial discoloration)

Great idea for a thread! We are still traveling in Taiwan, but will be in Japan next week. I'll try to post something then. I'm using a Google Nexus 7 tablet while in Taiwan and it is barely adequate for travel. Size/weight is great though. Mostly okay for consuming, but poor for creating. Copying, pasting, adding URL links, editing posts, typing, etc. sucks. A netbook is so much better except for the size/weight thing. Next trip, what to carry? Typing this message was more trouble than I want to put up with much.

Yeah who cares about colors and all when you have maintained your memories of past in the form of such beautiful images...

I remember when we were glad just to have some color in our images to help us remember what they were. Bad color was better then black and white, back then, and that was all we had!

@Doc: the colors aren't thát bad, considering the circumstances! Great moment!

@Henry: an ultrabook could be the ideal candidate for your travels. Bigger screen, but thin and light while still performing good enough for editing images.

Doc I think the colours give the shot an instant nostalgic look. I keep saying i must get round to scanning my old negatives! Heres a couple from the early-ish days of digital.

Even further back in August 2003 my first digital camera (a massive 1.3m pixels as i recall) an Olympus 960 of St Michael's Mount Cornwall:-

Lovely. I love the A2. What a gem of a camera that was/is.

I was on a sail boat in San Francisco Bay. This thing whizzed by. Taken in 2009

This is one of my oldest 35mm photos. I had only had my first SLR (Mamiya/Sekor 1000 DTL) for a few months. It was taken in 1974 in a town in East Texas.



This was taken between my legs while lying on the ground with my backpack with radio and M-16 laying across my legs. Taken with an Olympus XA.

Some very interesting shots there Henry. What were you doing with an M-16 and a radio?
