I got back to Japan last week from a trip to Bali, Indonesia. Good trip. I took my Olympus E-M5, 9-18mm f4-5.6, 14-150mm f4-5.6, 20mm f1.7, and Canon G15 on the trip. If you are interested you can see some photos in the Bali gallery here:

This is the sign that greets you at the Denpasar airport just before you go through immigration and customs. Bali doesn't want the druggies to come there and, I suspect, they are pretty serious.

At Lake Beratan I saw this photographer. He would take photos of people and sell them prints. He carried the printer around with him.

Has anyone noticed that all vehicles, be them cars or bikes, have their license plate beginning with DK (as in David Kilpatrick )

I guess it sort of depends on how you look at it. Since it is the situation in Bali I guess it is nice for them to be upfront about it and warn you rather than get caught and then you find out.

I looked all through your Bali photos when you put them up H, quite enjoyable, I didn’t notice the one of you on the velocipede though, it wasn’t too warm/humid for cycling over there?

I don't for the ones who willoppfully join the drugbusiness. There are people however who unknowingly are used for trafficing drugs such as tourists and such.

The penalty on Bali for drygtrafficing is pretty harsh, but where I live, drugpolicy is way too lenient. You actually can buy certain drugs legally here... :S

Yeah, it was hot and humid. As long as I was riding it wasn't too bad because of the breeze, but when I stopped it was pretty darn hot.
