I'm confused (happens all the time). I look at the pictures submitted in "Old Cars" with PhotoShop and it says the images are around 2MB. When I try to submit an image that size the program says it is too big ...., maximum size is 256K (actually it says 256KiB - I have no idea what a KiB is). When I submit a 256K picture (240x360 Pixels at 72ppi), it is only 1/4 the size of the ones from other people (see attached). What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the help,

Deward

Hi Deward

I think 1024 pixels is the max. I use about 900 when height is top.

David,

Thanks for the reply. When I open your picture is PS it says 743x600 @72PPI= 1.28M. This is getting more confusing by the minute. If the limit is 256K, how can you post a 1.28M picture? When I try to do it the PCA program rejects the picture as too large.

Hi Deward.

I had brought the picture up in Elements 10 went to image size, set the max allowed. Then I took a screen shot just to show
you the setting I use, you can use smaller if you wish. So this is a screenshot and not from "Save As" in Photoshop Elements.

Sury that looks to be an interesting Museum. The photographs on the wall in pics 1 and 2 also look to be interesting putting the cars in to context.

Here are three more images from my trip to Cuba.

Thank you Andy and Ossie. Ossie, I did not expect this kind of museum in that far reaches
of civilization. That museum has (most of the) cars that were driven on the roads of Alaska.
The museum has period fashion costumes as well along with the cars.
Older Cars would be one good reason for me visit Cuba, if ever.

Sury,

There is a car museum just over in Sacramento that is quite nice too. They like to focus on different eras throughout the year, but don't have the best AC so I'd avoid mid summer!

Darin,
Thank you. I will plan on visiting it next time I am in the State Capitol. Also, there is Blackhawk musuem
in Danville that is long overdue as well.

Andy and Greg, thank you.
There were quite a few cars with that feature in that museum, Greg. Seems like
a popular/common option of the day.
