Photoclubalpha

I have a photo in my imagination. A dragonfly covered with dew-drops. I woke up early in this morning and visited a small pond nearby. Unfortunately my drem photo hasn't realized but I took many pictures I like. I've tested my new sel 30mm f3.5 macro lens (I have another thread on that here: http://www.photoclubalpha.com/forum/vie ... =27&t=7936)

i think the spider in dew drops is unusual and well taken, not seen image like before.

Extraordinary, Marcell.

Never have seen a jewel-like dewy shot like the first one of the spider. Good timing in the morning and also brilliant lighting.

How did you achive the good back light? Also amazing that the spider was very patient with the dew drops and did not shake them off of itself or the web.

Pity about missing the jeweled dragonfly, but the spider is a pretty good replacement, you would think it would think about shaking some of that wet stuff off, maybe it doesn’t matter to a spider being wet. Nice focus and clarity on the snail shots.

Maybe this weekend I will find a dragonfly. I think these animals just wait until the sun rise and the water evaporates. They are kind of hibernated. That's why it's so easy to approach them even with the 30mm macro lens.

With the fexible arms I can change the direction of the light as I wish. With the 30mm macro I have to be very close to the subject and it's the main criticism regarding this lens, but it's an advantage with my flexible arm adapter. I can easily get extreme side or even back lighting.

That's great. It's good to be reminded that you have some DIY tools to maximize your photo quality as well as macro variety. The photos are extremely beautiful.

All 3 are excellent! The colour in all them really glows. Like everyone else, I'm in awe of the spider.
