First time in traditional dress - my daughter

My daughter in traditional Indian Saree at my brother's wedding.
The typical outfit is a two piece affair, the saree, a 1 meter wide by
2 meter long cloth and the blouse.
The photo was taken by my wife's nephew and not exactly an exemplary
composition.

I didn't take the shot.

I will submit the proof later.
Close up of the sequin work hand made in India.

Very nice outfit Sury well styled by the model, the style sort of reminds me of a toga or a kimono kind of thing, but of course the Romans didn't go in for the elaborate embroidery, and I suppose the kimono was usually rather plain as well…I think.

There was a joke going around when I was a undergraduate and probably very old, in Roman like in Scotland it's the women who wear the pants in the family.

Great outfit and daughter too! You should take formal potraits too.
Loving the finger make up as well!

Thank you all for your comments. I conveyed your comments to her and she is tickled pink (this time).
I guess my little girl is growing up.
Dusty, most of my neighbors have the necessary equipment and I know I can rely upon them.
Mike, she is now a freshman (first year) at University of California, Santa Cruz majoring in Cognitive Science.

Lovely, Sury.
She's looking gorgeous. I have a saree that my mom bought for me abroad years ago which I never got around to wearing.

But I definitely have plans for that beautiful smooth silk for some neat day.
Please convey my praises to her as she and the outfit suit each other splendidly.
Thanks for sharing,
Yildiz

Thank you Yildiz. Will convey the same to her. She had been my reluctant
"subject" on and off and this is the first time she is excited to receive the
feedback.

So....
Minimize avoidable sufferings - Sir Karl Popper + I have already recruited my friendly neighbors who
are NRA members. = Shoot them in the head, make that first shot count!
Got it!
