These are a few macros I got last summer. Hope you folks like them.

Set number 2.

Very nice! The bee on flower is particularly great.

Here is one of mine from 1975. Used my Mamiya/Sekor 1000 DTL + 55mm f1.8 with extension tubes. Do you know what it is? It is about 10mm in diameter so this is greater than life size. 35mm film is 24x36mm.

I'm always up for some good macro close ups, yeah I especially like the bee as well and the unusual second last flower too.

It could be a lead slug I think H, after hitting something fairly solid.

Those are very nice, Henry. I especially like the mono tone effect in each. It must have been a chilly morning!

Those are cool! If I may ask........how did you do that? I'm thinking with filters but I may be way off. It's OK if you don't want to give up trade secrets.

These were taken in 2002 with my Minolta D7i. I mostly shot jpegs with that camera because back then I had a 128mb CF card and a 16mb CF card. I don't remember exactly, but I think the 128mb card cost almost $100 (and I still have it). We were tent camping for 10 days and had no electricity so I wanted to keep the file sizes reasonable. Also, using raw mode with that camera required something like 20-30 seconds to write the raw file to the card. That is what I recollect, anyway. I did some post-processing on these shots after the trip. I don't recall any specifics. I think I was using Paint Shop Pro 7 at the time and probably used some filters in addition to my other adjustments. If I had to redo the processing now I probably would have a hard time duplicating it since I don't really remember. Of course, if I redid them I would probably end up with something I like even better now.
