I've never been to an actual in person (analogue?) camera club, but it's disappointing to hear the ones you've been to are not constructive and nurturing places, Mike. The idea sounds great; a load of like minded people get together to enjoy a pastime. However, other types of clubs I've been to have not lived up to the potential, and been less than enjoyable.
Thank goodness for the digital age and virtual communities like this.
More plane shots please, Mike!

Mike, the only time I shoot photos to please someone else is when I'm getting paid for it. I can do them well enough for that.
The rest of the time, if I like it, I don't really care what others think! They're either to preserve memorable moments or an attempt to be artistic, and I'm the only judge who's opinion counts on that! (this doesn't mean I can't get better).
