A goodn too Sury, I wonder what the field stars were...what constellation they were in etc.? is that bright job a planet for instance?

Very good shot Sury! One thing - you should use S less than a 1 sec to reduce a motion effect on the shot.
Something like this:

Very nicely done, Valery. My problem was that it was a tad cloudy and hazy too. I agree with you on the
motion blur. Because of the haze and clouds, I was forced to bump up ISO and lower shutter. I figured,
better (motion) blurry than none at all.

Ps it turns out the moon was in the constellation Virgo at the time of the eclipse and the bright one in the photos was the bright star ‘Spica’ in that constellation, also Mars was in Virgo at the time too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/April_2014_lunar_eclipse

Thanks for the info. Greg. Looks like I may get another chance in October. Hopefully, I will be better
prepared with my cheap intervelometer and better planning. The composite was fun. The best part
was that I was not even thinking about it. I kept shooting with different settings hoping to get lucky
at least in one of the settings. One other mistake I made which caused motion blur was that I had high
iso and long exposure NR on. I will try to do better in October. May be I can get my neighbor who hinted
at loaning his equatorial mount similar to his Hasselblad lenses, to part with the mount by then.
Did I say before, how much I appreciate the posts on this forum? Well, anyway, once again, thank you.

Sury! You have very good lens SAL 70-400G, I did shot with Tamron 70-300 USD (not bad to ) . One advice - next time make sure in the M mode the lens set wide open. As I so from EXIF - you had aperture f8 not f5.6 . I did same mistake at beginning of shooting f8 and S 6sec.
