Seal with a kiss

Elephant seal colony south of Piedras Blancas, Light House, on Highway 1, in central coast of California.
This colony (it was speculated) was formed due to over crowding at other colonies in 1990 with about
19 seals and ten years later the colony had about 10,000.

Great captures Sury, it's a wonder they don't attract the attention of some killer whales, I think they enjoy having a seal for dinner if memory serves.

Very interesting Sury - I like the curve of the bay with beach covered in seals

Thank you Greg, Mark, the_hefay and Andy. I do not know about killer whales per se,
but found this one about a mile or so north of the colony. It was quite far, the long end
of Tamron still couldn't capture any details.



One more seal...

With Tamron 200-500. I wish I had my 70-400 but my brother borrowed it for the weekend so I had
to make do with Tamron200-500.
