Hi guys. I've been gone a while. I hurt my lower back and have been flat on my back for at least two to three weeks. It was better so the wife and I went to southern Minnesota to my brothers lake cabin. While there we went on a photo shoot in the back roads of Min and South Dakota. These are a few that I got.

Page number 2.

Great shots, Kenneth. The first one on page 1 is very dramatic. The door knob is nice
but for me, the context is lost. Perhaps a little less crop might give it a bit more dimension.
For example, the #1 and #2 on page 2 make me think they belong to same image (though they may not),
due to similar color tones and make me think the 2nd image is a part of the first one.

Hope your back is back to normal.

Hi Sury!

It's great to hear from you again. The photos are not the same photo. The doorknob is the front door to the house and it has not been cropped. The washer machine is one of the back rooms. Do you think I went overboard on the processing? Personally I like the look but as always I totally trust your judgment Please let me know how you feel about them.

Loving the first one, since it shows the context very nicely. Others are a bit too tight, for me at least, to present the place in a photojournalist style. However, like I said, the first one is very nice, particulary I like the colors.

Hi Kenneth, sorry to hear about your back, and glad you're up and about again. I like the pictures of the deserted buildings. It looks like you could start a series on door handles

The first one is by no means over processed, IMHO. It is very pleasant and as you can see
that from the others comments too, that it is true.

This is purely my personal editorial and do apologize if I am breaching any netiquette, but just looking
at those five images, I can see a nice story with all the elements, an abandoned house, a dilapidated
interior and a rusted car. If those can be tied together through your post processing (cropping accordingly for example),
would make for a nice set and a story. You may have other images that may fit the theme as well.

I believe your images are not discrete and if the story lurking behind them is brought forth,
the story become that much more memorable because of the images. That was the background
in which I made my initial comments. It may be that I am over analyzing and it wouldn't be the first time
and it wouldn't be the last time.
