It is over 30 years since I spent any time on holiday in the USA until this year when I travelled on an organised tour to some of the iconic and beautiful National Parks travelling by coach touching 7 states in 15 days.

Here are a few of the images I managed to capture on a long, hectic, tiring but very worthwhile tour.

Love those rock formations with the varying light and colours. Sounds like a hectic tour, but worthwhile

Excellent set Mike. #2, #1 and #3 are my picks. The reflection on right edge is not distracting at all.
In Kauai, they told us to wear black or (was it white? I can't remember) to prevent helicopter windows
getting blocked with reflection.

Yes it was an amazing trip and even though sadly I missed out on Arches NP owing to my partner having a nasty fall in Canyonlands NP and dislocating her shoulder. We were both very impressed with the care and treatment she received at Moab Regional Hospital.

Here are three more shots from the trip. The truly amazing Bryce Canyon, a little bit of history at Fort Laramie with some PP fun thrown in and a taste of the old west on a wet evening.
If you can spot them there are two people walking through the canyon providing a sense of scale.

The first one is just out of this world, well quite literally. Nice capture of light and shadow.
Excellent PP on the second one. Very convincing addition of scratch and dust. Almost reverse
of Polaroid scratch and dust removal filter. The backdrop in the third one is great.

I can't claim credit for putting the scratches on the second one (a Nik Filter) but I thought the treatment suited the image.

The West part of the U.S. is wonderful. We have traveled there many times since our first time in 1999. You have some very nice photos!

We went to Devils Tower (made famous in Close Encounters of the Third Kind) in 1999.

Those are some wonderful photos of the US west. The scratches suit the image of the guy with the rifle perfectly. What camera/lens were you using?

Love the old time look - also a nice hint with the wagon in the background.
