In the middle of the crash



Crash landing but happy ending. The driver is in front of the car in dark jacket. He walked to the emergency vehicle on his own, albeit a bit wobbly.

Ouch! That shot with the lose wheels in flight is amazing! Well taken Sury (Hope the driver was ok?)

Agreed with the timing of the shot Sury! It looks as if the tire on the left of the photo has become separated from the wheel/hub assembly.
That McLaren looks luck to have passed through unscathed.. I'd be willing to bet that it was a very expensive wreck none the less.

Thank you gents. Andy, the driver was wearing a dark jacket in the third shot. We saw him being walked
to emergency vehicle. What I do not know is if there are any internal injuries. I have a 30 image series
on my flickr page that shows few more frames. I did provide the link in my post.

Most of the time, if a driver can walk to an ambulance on his own, he isn't seriously injured.

As I commented earlier I like the second shot. Just a shame the fence was in the way. Besides that, it's a great action shot.

Thank you Mark. It happened so fast that
I just started shooting. It was scarier as I was
watching it much closer due to zoom.
Good thing the car only spun and did not
flip. I agree about the fence. There is no need
for it to be that tall in THAT location. It
does spoil the view.

Like others have already commented, the second pic is great because it shows the dance of the parts and tyres, which usually happens too fast for the nakes eye to really concentrate on it. I can only imagine if one of those tyres would hit into cockit of coming car or similar. Your picture makes it look more dangerous (and what it actually is) than similar stuff on TV. Well done, Sury.
