I was on a two week vacation to Costa Rica and has been busy with work leading up to work
and had been catching up with work and post processing. I have been enjoying the photos on
the forum but could not comment during vacation due to limited bandwidth and pre/post vacation
due to limited time. Hopefully, I should get back to my routine soon.

This is Volcano Concepcion in Nicaragua (on a day trip from where we were stationed). With 70-400G
on A900. I was quite pleased with the details, given the distance (~30Km, cloudy). Handheld, shot.

It's companion Volcano Maderas.

Wow - epic pictures Sury

Welcome back!
Those are all really nice pictures - I like the first most for the details of the cloud cap on the mountain - but the others are interesting too to see the volcano in its surroundings.

I like the comparison between the white wings of the stork and the white props of the turbines
Looks like you and the A900 had a great time!

Andy,
Thank you. I did not think of that comparison. Yes, that A900 and the 70-400 gave me
enough workout alright.
Mike, thank you and I can send you the full res. image without
the watermark, if you prefer.
With best regards,
Sury

All are very nice! I especially like the volcano shots and the white windmills against the dark sky.

Great volcano pics, Sury. My pick would the second one (but you need to straighten it up!). Ocean in front of it shows one a real scale of the volcano.

Thank you Henry and Toni. Much appreciated.
Let me get the second photo straightened for you, Toni. The body of water
is quite large and though it is a fresh water lake (Lake Nicaragua), the water tends
to be muddy due to silt.
