Pretty nice lizard shots! I wonder what is the round thing at the throat with the first two ones? Looks like the alligators are pretty good hiding. Looking at them, I always seem to think about how they say that lizards don't have emotions at all. Difficult to say, Descartes used to claim, while operating a living dog, that dogs don't experience pain at all - it's all just mechanics..

I was wondering the same thing about that round spot. If you wouldn't have identified that one picture as being bats, I would've though insects. However, now that I know they are bats I can see how they are hanging just like the ones around here and as most other bats do I suppose. They appear to only be about an inch long. How big (or small) where they?

About an inch. They were real small. I would not have noticed either if the guide did not point to them.

Nice collection of creatures and great photos of them. The round spot on the iguanas is the subtympanic shield. It's function is unclear. Boy I didn't realize those are bats either. I thought they were some kind of insect.
