Ghost Town
Here's a couple of shots of an old abandoned coal mining town called Gebo. It's pronounced Jeeboe.

Re: Ghost Town
Love the eery deserted buildings under the stars sky. The hills have eyes!

Re: Ghost Town
The first one looks like an ancient ruin Jeff. The stars and sky certainly made it more memorable.

Re: Ghost Town
Thanks guys. I want to go back some time and set up for a time lapse video of the stars moving across the sky.
Re: Ghost Town
Those are really impressive captures. I think the second one is the strongest.

Thanks Pitter.
Re: Ghost Town
I love when people shoot stars (even if as only a part of the picture). Getting the darkness right in night time is difficult (if you have moon there, like it seems to me), but you've got it very nicely with the second one. It has a bit more drama which suits great for this type of picture.

Re: Ghost Town
Thanks Toni. Yes there was lots of moonlight. That helped keep the shutter speed up so that I didn't get the star trails. I think star trails would also be great to experiment with here and someday I hope to give that a go. However, I was really short on time. It was a last minute decision as I was on the road driving home when this took place. Needless to say I was a little late.

Great shots Jeff, Gives an eerie feel, with the back drop of the stars. Looking forward to your star trail shots.
