The day ended with this pastel sunset.

Beautiful, Jeff. I hope your day was half as good between the sunrise and sunset.

I been in Caddo lake two years ago, but it was the summer time, always wondering how the lake looks in winter. Thank you Henry.bakubo wrote:Thanks, Andy and Sury. I recall that we were driving from Memphis, Tennessee to Austin, Texas in December 1999 and the route we were taking took us about 100 miles from Caddo Lake. I noticed it on the map and had always wanted to visit so we took a big detour to go to it. I think I shot about a roll of slide film there. Last year I scanned some of them. This week I took the raw scans and processed 4 of the Caddo Lake photos and imported them into Lightroom. Here are 3 more. I see that I should work on the color balance a bit on the 4 photos to make them all the same.
Everything in the life unusual!

Valery the last two look like water colors (no pun intended).

Every time Caddo Lake gets an exposure from the shooters here, it's a pleasure to take the 'trip'. Such enchanting combination of trees and water.

Re: Landscape 2015
Now for the less artistic and more mundane (touristy) images.
I tried my best to stabilize the camera by resting it on a fence post.
It was late, family was tired and had no patience for my photo taking
shenanigans.

Thanks Henry and Sury.
Actually I spent a large portion of that time in bed since I'm working between sunset and sunrise this week and not the other way around.sury wrote:Beautiful, Jeff. I hope your day was half as good between the sunrise and sunset.

I've been there before, and I'm sure most everyone else here has also.sury wrote:It was late, family was tired and had no patience for my photo taking

The first one is my favorite.
Re: Landscape 2015
Valery, I love the vertical lines in the 2nd and 3rd photo. The first one with the boat really gives some perspective as it squeezes between the trees.

Nice shots Charlie. I really like the second one.
Curious to know if that is the most expensive
for that focal length or in absolute terms?

Here's what it looks like:

Hi Sury, no just for that FL, and maybe there is another i don't know about which would cost even more for some other mount.
The .95/50 for M is 10,745 USD new haha.
The good news is I'm unlikely to loose much money on the 135 which I found for 2300ish. My most expensive lens is a 1983 75/1.4 Summilux for which I paid over 3K, but it is really something.
Here the 75 WO at f/1.4:

Valery, nice shots of Caddo Lake in the summer. I didn't see that boat when I was there. In the winter 1999 I didn't see another person the whole time I was there.
Yeah, seeing the photos makes me want to go there again someday.aster wrote:Every time Caddo Lake gets an exposure from the shooters here, it's a pleasure to take the 'trip'. Such enchanting combination of trees and water.
