Wow. The skiers sure do give a sense of scale to the image.

I agree with Sury. Excellent presentation of scale and topography. By the way, where is this at?

I'm just back from a trip to the wonderful Isle of Skye. There was a lot of weather! I think many of my pictures from this trip will end up as black and white. Here is a colour and a B&W to start off.

Both with A99. First with SAL 28-75, second with SAL 70-400 mk 1.

Andy,
The first one is excellent with Browns dominating. I would like to see
the second one in color, if you don't mind.

I've been waiting for these Andy. I love the wild untamed wilderness that is portrayed by all your shots that you've posted of this area. These are a great addition to those photos.

Thanks very much for your comments guys. :)

Sury, I will see if I can dig out a colour version when I'm back with my files on Friday.

Nice shots there Sury. So does your friend grow palm trees on his farm? That sunset shot is fantastic. I love the lacey leaves on mesquite, or locust or whatever it is.

Jeff,
Thank you. He bought the farm (not figuratively, he is hail and healthy) recently.
He is certainly planning to plant guava, coconut and few others that I don't remember.
I will know for sure in a yea.r :D

As for the sunset, we were driving along, I saw a farm and asked him to pull over
to shoot some birds. As I got out of car, I lifted my head and saw sun setting. So
took a shot and did not think it turned out as well as it did (IMHO). I would not know
what kind of tree that would be, for couple of reasons: 1) I am not good at identifying
flora and fauna. 2) Even if I could, I did not pay attention to the tree (it was back lit).
#1 is the reason, #2 is the excuse.

Sury, nice sunset photo!

I don't take all that many photos that could be called landscape, but when I am in a road trip in the western U.S. I sometimes do. Here are some recent ones in Okinawa at Cape Manzamo though.

This first one could use a bit better post-processing. Maybe I will redo it later.

The second one is very intimidating Henry.
Are those rock structures in the third one?
Looks like you were at an elevation looking
down when you took the shot.
