Since someone has to start this one, let it be me. Please post all your bird shots here.
They don't have to be taken in 2015, don't even have to be processed in 2015. If you find
them up in the air or in your archives, just post them.

Very nice gull shots. Ring-billed, Herring?

I have some birds but all shot with Canon not my a6000. Do they count on this thread?

Ok then. Here's an Emerald Toucanet that came to my yard. I used a Canon 7D with 400 5.6 lens.

And here's another yard visitor, a Red-headed Barbet.

Sury didn't get the next shot because something was deposited on his lens. :)

Pitter and Sury those are nice shots with some good detail. Pitter, looks like you get some pretty colorful visitors.

Actually Sury your gull is most likely California Gull. I'm thinking the first two are winter adult and the last an immature.

I do indeed get some colorful birds and of course Colombia has more species than any other country in the world. Lucky me!

And speaking of colorful this is the bird that birdwatchers come to the Cali area to see. It's endemic so can't be seen anywhere else in the world. It's called a Multicolored Tanager and indeed has seven different colors. I let word get out that it visits my yard and people from around the world contacted me wanting to come and see it. It's hard to photograph with flash because of iridescent feathers but being in cloud forest it's pretty much my only choice.

Pitter,
I think it stands to reason that the bird is a California Gull, given the location central coast of California. :D
Lucky you, alright and a fascinating story about Tanager. Can we expect an invitation to visit your backyard too? :)

Sury and Pitter lovely images.

Here is one of a native UK bird that prefers a more subtle approach, a Starling (Sturnus vulgaris).

Sury why of course. Bring your long lenses.

The Marsh Tit looks a lot like the Chickadees of the US. Nice photos.

Nice birds Keith and thank you. I was wondering if the first one could use a smidgen of contrast bump.

Thank you Pitter for the invitation. :D

Just bought a used 70400G and took it out last Saturday. It seems to be a decent lens 8) . All taken Jan 10 near Lancaster, California.
