Defying gravity with those steel and wire ensembles of machinery, requires a mind of its own.

And nicely taken, to give a good feel of the show in action, Sury.

Thanks for sharing,

Yildiz

The first one, Sury, is breath-taking. : )

You have neatly contained the whole action in that vertical framing. The crispness against the neat blue of the sky, with the bursting and twirling white smoke, make for a very nice shot.

Well done,

Yildiz

Excellent pictures Sury, from the low altitude motorcycles to the diving plane and the paratroopers.

Thank you YIldiz. Composition has been my achille's heel for as long as I have been posting.
I had tremendous help on the forum offering your insights and taking your valuable time
expressing your points of view. I am feeling a bit more confident these days about handling
negative space and cropping than before.
Jeff, thank you.
Now we will move from men/women flying off the planes to flying the planes.

I may have posted this before but I reprocessed it and also recropped differently to convey action.
The choice of rectangular crop is deliberate with intention of conveying the action/motion.
My previous post might have been a square crop with the planes as central focus.

I liked the tightness of the formation I was able to capture but need to review the wing surface. I am not sure
whether it is over processing or the 70-400 is good that it captured the texture of the wind.

It was a cloudy day with Sun breaking through occassionally. It was pushing the limits of camera and lens with light
not being what it was supposed to be, and the planes moving fast as they were supposed to be...

Great compositions Sury. Keep in mind that in the shot of the really tight formation, each of the last three planes is being viewed, at least in part, through the exhaust of those in front. This will lead to ripples and softness. When I looked at it on flickr, it appears to be oversharpened, but all in all it's a nice shot.

Thank you Jeff.

I wish I used a lower shutter speed to get more blur in the props.
