Perhaps my blind spot is not able to spot a shot. No pun intended.
It is more of other way around. I decided to to stacking since I did not
use my X-Z slider and the Tamron 60f2 macro lens in a while. Took
bunch of shots in and around home. Posted the best of the lot.
There are different kind of stacking that serve different purposes,
the astro stacking for adding brightness, the HDR for dynamic range
and focus stacking for increasing DoF. This link gives you some info.
to start with, and I use Zerene stacker which can be used for free for
30 days and find it easy to use. That site also has a nice tutorial.

As for accessories, I have extension tubes, CUL set (Close Up Lens),
couple of reverse mount adapters, and 2D macro slider, (X-Z), a MD
mount macro bellows. As for lenses, I have the following:
a tamron 60 f2, Sigma 70-300 with macro, and two MD mount
(Vivitar 90 f2.5 +1:1 adaper & 100mmf4), lenses.
With extension tubes, CUL set and reverse mount adapters, any lens
can be made to function like a macro.
