Voila a perfect match in my visit say good bye to one of my best friend that went to visit the light in the sky this week (too young and dad of 4 kids ... ).
But being in the North near the 50th north parallel, I saw a good sky and decide to visit the forest at two place I love, a Beach and a fall.

Hi Frank;
Great hearing from you and seeing you posting photos again....You've been missed.
These are great shots of the Borealis. The Northern Lights must be a joy to watch over there right now. 50th North parallel? Appears that's where all the magic happens. : )
Hope your friend was met with grandest of lights where he is right now. Our best wishes to his family.
Thanks for sharing with us. And try not to go scarce again...

That is the most "brilliant" way to send off a dear one I have seen.
And great images to boot, Frank. As Yildiz said good to you see your
contributions again and look forward to more. How are you liking your
A7RII?
With best regards,
Sury

Re: Milky borealis :-)
A7R II is so far the best camera I ever have. It is a reboot of the feeling I got on the NEX 7 and after that the A7R.

Beautiful images Frank.
Sorry to hear about your friend, but a great tribute, as Yildiz and Sury mentioned.
