Without the reference, I cannot give you the feedback you are looking for. However, I prefer #1 because silhouette is more appealing than the small amount of detail in #2.

I agree with JB. I don't know about the series itself but based on the teaser,
"humanizing" the image take it away from the imagination. #1 for me too.
