The b&w images look too flat for my liking JB. I would have liked a bit more contrast to the
concrete structures. I liked the ND filtered images especially the second one.
What a difference colour makes ! The 9-stop neutral filter turned the colours into an oil-paint-likeness. The icy shades of blue, and the concrete stilts, finely detailed: nature's organics vs. prefabricated inorganic concrete. Beautiful. You oil-paint through your 9-stop neutral filter.
The B&Ws are an other story; more conventional photography...what's amazing is, although of the same scenery, the colour and B&W photos look almost alien to each other in feel.
PS. Weather cold ? No one around or willing to take a swim?
Thank you for the observations Yildiz. These (excepting the first which was a prep shot from the previous day) were taken at sunrise and I made sure not to include any people in the shots. I took these with B&W in mind and only did the color versions as an afterthought. I did bump saturation a bit but it is faithful to the moment. I think there is more work to do in this area and am looking for local subjects to examine.
