Clouds and Rays of Sunshine

After a fairly severe windstorm on Saturday night and into Sunday morning, the clouds were still around, being blown about by winds up to 70mph (gust). Why not go to Huntley Meadows and see what the birds were doing. Well, there were few birds, and it was cold! Here are some pictures.

2. Clouds and Light (A77II with Tamron 150-600)

Thanks for looking.

Finding beauty in minimalism.
Birds don't fly in high wind.
You made the best of it.

Thank you for the comments. There were birds (mostly geese, teals, mallards, shovelers), some swallows flying about, and an osprey or two.

I still can't get to a spot close enough to the diving osprey.

Nice shot. It almost looks like a miniature person clinging on to the talon. :)
Or I need to cut back on my coffee. :D

Love the second cloud and rays picture - very dramatic. I'd love to see an Osprey, let alone get a picture like that :) . Fabulous birds.

Thanks for the comments. It's been cloudy and rainy here in the DC area for days. No dramatic clouds. Just grey. Still, there are flowers to look forward to.

I saw some osprey the other day, but my schedule didn't give me time to photograph them. I would love to get a diving osprey some day. Thanks for sharing the shots.
