This is a little un-named cascade/waterfall that I hadn't visited in a long time. I went there last week and it was as beautiful as ever. It's 3 shots with a 10-stop NDF processed in photomatix.

Here's another photo of the top half that is similarly processed.

Interesting processing. I personally enjoy HDR as well but I find that this HDR-processing evened out all shadows and all colours throughout; the greens in the front and in the back are alike as are the shadow intensities. I think this eliminates the perception of distance, hence depth of field, making a 3-dimensional scenery 2-dimensional or flattened.
Just my humble thoughts. The place is beautiful and the falls by the use of the ND filter show more depth than the environment's homogenized colours and shadows.

I hope my observation doesn't come across as discouraging or too critical. Just my couple of cents... Maybe, a little less of the same kind of processing could have preserved more of the nature's actual depth / sense of distance.

Aster, thanks for your comments. I'm not an HDR guru by any stretch of the imagination and your insights give me something to consider.

I like the pictures. Quite 'zingy' but they definitely have a look.
