Here are some photos from the trip.

Looks like a place that would make me feel small.
Keep posting.

.
Just grand scale and very inviting nature there, Sury.
I love how the rocks are still angularly rugged and are not rounded by years of water activity...looking very rebellious and soaring into the blue sky. The third is a charmer! Just wish I knew what it felt like to listen to the sounds of the undisturbed flow of the stream...
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing,
Yildiz

Thank you JB and Yildiz. I have been to Yosemite in the summer (no water falls) or in winter (everything is frozen) and this is the first time in 30 years of living in Bay Area, I had a chance to see the falls. I wish I was there in Feb. when the falls were in full glory.
JB, yes, we do feel insignificant. One we are among Redwood trees which are huge and tall and you are in a valley with sheer cliffs
all around you. Talk about double whammy.
Bridal Veil Falls from Tunnel View Look out point.
In the photo below, the rock to the left of the tree (as you see it) is El Capitan and the rock on the right is famous Half Dome.
This is taken from tunnel view look out. El Capitan to left, slightly right of snow pack next to El Capitan is Half Dome. This is a panorama.

First one in the second set is a winner.
Polarizer for these?

JB, Thank you. That was an oversight on my part. I forgot to take my CPL and ND kit.
We were mislead by weather person. They said weather in the valley was
50s/40s and cloudy. It ended up in 70s, bright and sunny. All temps. in
Fahrenheit.

Beautiful shots Sury. I just love Yosemite. I'd like to offer one correction if I may. In the second photo of the second set, half dome is not visible as it's behind the tree. Well, you can see it but not easily. In the third photo you can see half dome way in the back almost blending into the sky.
btw, were you able to go to the glacier point look out? It's one of my favorite overlooks in the park.
Also, what waterfall is the very first picture in this thread. It's quite impressive.

Jeff,
You are absolutely right regarding the half dome. I stand corrected.
The Glacier Point is closed and the road was closed at Badger Pass
where people are still skiing.

Wow, still skiing in April. Is that normal there? I've been to Yosemite three times, but always in July.

Thanks for posting! Love to see your photos. Been to Yosemite several times for hiking and camping in the 1980s and 1990s. Hope to visit again someday.

Jeff,
We have had a unusually long winter (rain/snow season) which was much awaited. This is not typical but we are not complaining.
California is now officially out of drought. Our reservoirs went from 10%-15% capacity to 60%-70%. The water fall is Bridal Veil, I think.
Henry, thank you. That place, like many others in the world, never ceases to amaze you.
The following three are takne with 70-400G on A77II.
Here is Half Dome
Tunnel View location
El Capitan

Again, excellent shots Sury. They make me want to return to Yosemite.
I'm glad to hear the reservoirs and lakes are filling up. Well...as long as there's not another Orville Dam crisis. As they say, "feast or famine."
