elderly widow and Canadian chataue?

Unread post by mikehawthorne »

i photographed this lady outside an old church in Crete she was quite happy for me to take it. The building was taken in Canada, Quebec.

Hi Mike, :)

Crete and Quebec, Canada two so different worlds of culture apart...yet they come side by side with the art of photography.
The sincere abundance of features on the lady's face is intriguing and ancient while the neat architecture and blue sky in the second is a promise of endurance, will see many generations to come yet...I like the contradictory context of these photos. You must be the frequently-travelling kind... :D

Thanks

Both are nice shots, but I would've preferred if the lady's shot was more sharpened to emphasize all the hard times she had in her lifetime. I think the focus plane is a bit elsewhere (back focus I'm afraid).
As for the Château, well it's like a fable. nice perspective.
