Hi to all members.

I am Gordon and live in East Yorkshire and would like to show you my flickr site for comments good or bad.

I am hoping to get the A700 shortly after Christmas as a second boy.

I am totally impressed by what I have read and seen online, but not yet felt one in the flesh. This I think is a camera that will worry the other makes.

I currently use a Minolta Dynax 7d with 4 Sigma ( 10-20, 18-50, 28-300 and 400)and 1 Tamron lens (90 macro).

I liked that Canberra, brought back memories I worked on about eight of those, T22 version of FRADU, in the 1970s making and fitting modifications.

Some may be surprised to learn that the wings are only connected to the fuselage by the main spar with no wing to fuselage fairing as is normal practice. Also most of the fin (vertical tail surface not including the rudder) is timber otherwise the a/c would sit more easily on its tail which it would do if the tanks were not refuelled in the correct order. One could also make it tip on to a wing tip by screwing up the fuelling. Most times we had to over-wing refuel, as opposed to pressure, where each tank cap was opened and fuel pored in with a nozzle, a slightly larger version of the one you use on your car - takes a while to fill one of these like that.

An atypical type for an FAA whalla to mix with but then the list of aircaft types I was involved with was a long one but specialised at different times on Sea Vixen FAW(1) and FAW (2), Phantom F4K and Hunter T8, GA and PR, with three distinct periods on the latter.

I dont mind the digress at all, as I am ex RAF and spent my last 4 years (1988-92) at Wyton with them.

Ironically, my dad worked on the same planes back in the 60`s.
